Are Walmart and Home Depot Connected

The Home Depot continues to provide customers with faster delivery options, this time through an innovative partnership with another of the world’s leading retailers.

Walmart GoLocal, which uses Walmart’s vast network to deliver products to businesses of all sizes, has its first retail client in The Home Depot.

More Home Depot customers can now get same-day or next-day delivery on a variety of home improvement products thanks to Walmart GoLocal.

Walmart GoLocal drivers will begin delivering orders from select Home Depot locations in the coming weeks, with plans to expand the service to multiple markets across the country by the end of the year.

Is Walmart in Partner With Home Depot?

Walmart and Home Depot

The Home Depot has joined Walmart’s GoLocal delivery service as a major new partner.

Shoppers in select markets will be able to schedule same-day and next-day delivery for supplies such as tools, fasteners, and paint that can easily fit in a car, with coverage expanding to multiple markets nationwide by the end of 2023

The Home Depot has been expanding its last mile capabilities in response to an 86% surge in digital sales in fiscal 2020.

The Home Depot is constantly working to provide customers with the most convenient home improvement shopping experience possible, which includes offering a variety of fast and dependable delivery options.

Walmart launched GoLocal in August 2021, but it isn’t the company’s first retailer-to-retailer service.

Walmart also offers fulfillment services to its marketplace sellers, media assistance to its brand partners, and access to its cloud technology via the Adobe Commerce platform.

The agreement with Walmart is part of Home Depot’s goal of providing same-day or next-day delivery to 90% of the United States’ population.

To that end, Home Depot already collaborates with a number of shipping companies. Home Depot, for example, began collaborating with delivery service Roadie in 2018.

The GoLocal service will launch in select stores in Texas, New Mexico, and Northwest Arkansas this year, with plans to expand to multiple markets across the country later in the year.

Home Depot’s emphasis on quick delivery corresponds to the desires of a growing segment of customers.

According to a September survey of 1,000 online shoppers conducted by Digital Commerce 360 and Bizrate Insights, 46% of respondents named speed of delivery as one of the most important factors they will consider when selecting online retailers this holiday season.

It’s a bigger win for Walmart because it validates their market strategy. If Home Depot had partnered with Instacart and DoorDash, they would have made the same splash.
