Snapstreaks are displayed in your chats tab directly next to a friend’s name. The flame emoji, represent the Snapstreak.
This emoji may or may not be joined by other Snapchat emojis that signify different meanings about your friendship.
Along with the flame emoji, you’ll see as your Snapstreaks increase a number that indicates how many days you’ve maintained your Snapstreak.
The red “one hundred points” emoji will be seen next to the flame emoji if you maintain a Snapstreak for 100 days.
On Snapchat, How Do You Remove Streaks?
You can terminate the streak in just 24 hours by ceasing to send them snaps (pictures). The streak will end if they follow suit.
To continue the streak, keep in mind that sending them a photo from your camera roll will count as a snap sent.
How Did I Lose My Streak on Snapchat?
You’ve lost your streak for the most obvious reason—either you or your friend haven’t sent a Snap in the last 24 hours.
The streak did not end for you or the other person within 24 hours. Streaks will expire after 24 hours, so make sure you’re left unopened when someone finishes snapping.

When two users exchange Snaps on Snapchat for a string of days, it is known as a Snapstreak. And it most certainly is a thing.
You must send a Snap back and forth to a pal within a 24-hour window in order to maintain a streak.

When the Snapstreak timer reaches the 20th hour since your last snap exchange, the hourglass icon will appear.
This means that you and your friend have around four hours to try to continue the streak before it is gone.
